State BJP leader to get 'X' category security cover

Kolkata: The Union Home Ministry has decided to provide 'X' category security to state BJP leader Joy Banerjee. It has been decided that Banerjee will be given 'X' category security under which 3 Central security personnel will be deputed. One more personnel will be kept on reserve.

According to sources, four BJP leaders in the state get special security from Union Home Ministry at present. Among them Rahul Sinha was the first to get CRPF personnel as security. Later, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh was provided with 'Y' category security.

After Mukul Roy joined BJP, he was provided with 'Y Plus' category security. Rupa Ganguly also gets 'X' category security.
