Sleuths unearth new clues in Khardah murder case
Kolkata: The sleuths have found several new clues in connection with Pratul Chakraborty's murder in Khardah.
During the interrogation, his former wife Aditi claimed she murdered Chakraborty but she had no intention. The whole incident was done in the heat of the moment.
After Aditi was remanded to police custody she was grilled again and later confessed to have playfully murdered Chakraborty.
According to the sources, in Chakraborty's autopsy report, it was mentioned that alcohol was found in his stomach. Thus, foul play is suspected. Later, during the interrogation Aditi admitted to have consumed alcohol with Chakraborty on the night of December 19.
After Chakraborty became inebriated, she had used a pillow to strangulate him as he could not resist.
The sleuths also came to know that Aditi is searching for a man to get married again. She was married earlier as well with a person identified as Joydip Biswas of Barasat, who had died mysteriously.
After that she married Chakraborty. Not only Biswas and Chakraborty, some of Biswas's relatives also died mysteriously.
According to Biswas's neighbours, four persons of the Biswas family had died mysteriously within four
and a half years.
All of them died while sleeping. On hearing this, the sleuths have smelled a rat and are mulling to investigate those cases as it may give out some valuable clues
regarding the case.
The neighbours of Biswas family alleged they tried to get their deaths investigated but Aditi used her influence and somehow managed to dispose of those cases before it could be investigated.
The sleuths are also suspecting that a second person might be connected with Chakraborty's murder.
Thoush Aditi claimed she was the only one who planned and executed but police are not believing her words till it is
not confirmed.
