Security bolstered ahead of Modi's visit to West Midnapore
Kolkata: Security arrangements have been tightened up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to West Midnapore on Monday.
The Prime Minister will be addressing a gathering at Midnapore College Ground. He will be reaching Kalaikunda Airbase, from where he will be heading towards the venue, where he would reach at around 12.30 pm.
Security arrangements in and around the venue have been tightened up and initiatives have also been taken to ensure that no untoward incident takes place during the programme.
President Ram Nath Kovind will be visiting Bengal on July 20. He will be the Chief Guest of the 64th Convocation of IIT Kharagpur. The programme will be held at the Tagore Open Air Theatre of the Institute, where around 2,400 students will be receiving degrees in BTech, BArch, Dual BTech, MTech, MSc, Masters in Medical Science and Technology, Masters in Human Resource Management, MBA and Executive MBA, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analytics, Bachelors and Masters in Law, MS Research and PhD.
