Salt Lake to get 650-bedded private hospital

KOLKATA: A 650-bedded state-of-the-art hospital will come up on 3 acres in Salt Lake Sector-V. The multi super specialty hospital, Rotary Techno Global Hospital, will be built by Techno India Group in association with Eastern India Rotary Welfare Trust.

The foundation stone for the same was laid on Friday by Satyam Roychowdhury, founder, Techno India Group and Shekhar Mehta, president-Rotary International.

The first phase of the proposed hospital complex with 350 beds will be fully operational in the next two years. Total investment for this project is envisaged to be above Rs 300 crore. The hospital will offer a wide vista of specialised high-end healthcare services to serve a large population of Eastern and North-Eastern states of India and the neighbouring countries. The existing Rotary Netralaya on the same premises will turn into a full-fledged eye care and research centre of international standard. The first phase of the proposed hospital complex will have 350 beds and will be fully operational by 2024.
