Restrictions imposed upon Circular Railway services from New Alipore to Majerhat
Kolkata: Restriction has been imposed on Circular Railway train services from New Alipore to Majerhat Station (Circular Railway platform) as a safety measure, following collapse of a portion of Majerhat Bridge on Tuesday.
In such a situation, certain trains will be short-terminated. In some cases there will be diversion or cancellation of trains in the Circular Railway Section until it becomes possible to normalise the movement of trains between New Alipore and Majerhat Station (Circular Railway platform).
The trains that would be cancelled are 30412, 30414, 30416 Sealdah-BBD Bag via Majerhat, 30452 Sealdah-Kolkata via Majerhat, 30552 Majerhat-Ghutiarisharif via Ballygunge, 30712 Majerhat-Lakshmikantapur via Ballygunge, 31240 Barrackpore-Sealdah, 30411, 30413, 30451 BBD Bag-Sealdah via Majerhat, 30612 Kolkata-Baruipur via Majerhat or Ballygunge, 30511 Champahati-Majerhat via Ballygunge, 30711 Lakshmikantapur-Majerhat via Ballygunge, 30111 Ballygunge-Barrackpore via Majerhat (Circular Railway), 30353 Majerhat-Duttapukur via Ballygunge and 31237 Sealdah-Barrackpore.
The trains that will be short-terminated are 30128 Down Kalyani Simanta-New Alipore via Circular Railway and
30122 Down Naihati-Ballygunge via Circular Railway. 30152 Down Naihati-Majerhat via Kakurgachi Chord will be diverted and short-terminated at Sealdah.
Some special trains will also be run for the convenience of commuters and they include Sealdah-Nungi at 9.04 am and 5.08 pm from Sealdah, Sealdah-Lakshmikantapur at 10.05 am from Sealdah, Ballygunge-Baruipur at 7 pm from Ballygunge, Barrackpore-Ballygunge at 5.20 pm from Barrackpore and Ballygunge-Ghutiarisharif at 7.58 pm from Ballygunge.
The Up trains include Champahati-Sealdah leaving Champahati at 8.08 am, Nungi-Sealdah leaving Nungi at 10.05 am, Lakshmikantapur-Ballygunge at 2.34 pm from Lakshmikantapur, Ballygunge-Barrackpore at 4.03 pm from Ballygunge, Sealdah-Duttapukur at 5.05 pm from Sealdah and Nungi-Ballygunge at 6.12 pm from Nungi.
30116 Down Barrackpore-BBD Bag Local will be extended upto Majerhat via Circular Railway, 30211 BBD Bag-Dum Dum will be extended upto Majerhat via Circular Railway, 30324 Down Hasnabad-Princep Ghat will be extended upto Majerhat via Circular Railway and 30311 Up Princep Ghat-Barasat will be extended upto Majerhat via Circular Railway.
