Proprietor found dead inside own lathe factory

Kolkata: A person was found dead on Sunday morning inside his own lathe factory. Later, police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy. Sources informed that there were several injury marks on the body.

According to the sources, a person identified as Sailen Adhikary (54) was missing since Friday morning.

He left home located at Kasba for his factory in Tiljala.

His family members looked for him in all possible places including the factory but could not to trace him.

On Saturday night, Adhikary's family members lodged a missing complaint at Tiljala police station. On Sunday afternoon, his son again went to Tiljala and entered the factory.

In the back portion, he got a foul smell. When he went to investigate, he spotted a hand hanging out from a sack. On seeing the hand, Adhikary's son removed the sacks and found the body.

Police was immediately informed. During primary investigation, the sleuths spotted several injury marks on Adhikary's head, face and body.

It seemed that Adhikary was beaten using some heavy and blunt object.

On seeing the injury marks, police became quite sure that he was murdered and the homicide section was informed.

The sleuths have questioned Adhikary's family members to know if he had any enmity with anyone or involved in a business rivalry. Primarily, it is suspected that the murderer was known to Adhikary.

The sleuths are also trying to find out the place where Adhikary was murdered.

Sources informed that the family members of the deceased received a mysterious phone call on Saturday saying Adhikary had gone

to Odisha.

Police are checking with the phone number from which the call had come.

The sleuths also questioned the labours who stay inside the factory at night.

Cops have also detained a few persons for questioning.

Till Sunday night no one was arrested in connection with the murder.
