Police clear air on video of sand falling from AJC Bose Rd flyover

Kolkata: The Kolkata Police has stated that there is nothing to panic, after watching a video clip showing sand falling from AJC Bose Road Flyover. The reason behind the incident was that the men employed for cleaning the flyover had swept the road and pushed the dust through the drainpipe.

It may be mentioned that a video clip showing sand and dust falling from AJC Bose Road Flyover became viral on social media and as a result was triggering panic.

Concerned officers of Kolkata Police examined the

video clip and gathered all necessary information in this connection. The police then came to know that some men, who were employed to clean the flyover, had swept the road and pushed the dust through the drainpipe.

Someone had recorded the video of the moment and posted the same on social media. Within a very short time it had gone viral and it was leading to confusion among city residents.

To clear the confusion among people, Kolkata Police stated in a tweet: "At the crossing of AJC Bose Road – Rawdon Street, some people had noticed that sand and dust was falling from the flyover and this was creating panic. This has been recorded on video and then circulated on social media. It is being clarified that the men employed for cleaning the AJC Road Flyover had swept the road and pushed the dust through the drainpipe on and this is what was recorded. There is no cause for panic."
