Person stabbed by mason in Bongaon

Kolkata: A person was stabbed multiple times by a mason in Bongaon on Friday evening. The injured person, Asim Biswas, is admitted to Bongaon Sub-Divisional Hospital.

According to locals, Rajkumar Roy, a renowned businessman at charaktala in Bongaon recently engaged a mason and carpenter Asim Biswas in his home. The work commenced few days back. On Thursday, the mason took away some ornaments from the temple inside Roy's home. After it was found that some ornaments are missing, they checked CCTV footages and found that the mason was the thief. On Friday, Roy asked the mason to return the ornaments.

Though the offender primarily denied the charges, he admitted his guilt after he was showed the CCTV camera footages. Roy also warned him police action.

Following the warning, the mason returned the ornaments and commenced with his work. Roy warned his family members and asked them to keep an eye on the mason.

However, the evening after the day's work was done, the mason stabbed Biswas many times with a sharp weapon. A complaint has been lodged.
