No cross voting by TMC, says Abhishek

No cross voting by Trinamool Congress MLAs or MPs has taken place in the Presidential election, party's MP Abhishek Banerjee said on Monday.
Reacting sharply to the allegations made by Dilip Ghosh that cross voting by both Trinamool Congress and CPI(M) has taken place, he said: "He is talking like a mad person." Earlier, Ghosh had said that many ruling and Left MLAs and MPs had voted for the NDA candidate. Sujan Chakraborty, CPI(M) leader said "There is no question of cross voting by CPI(M) MLAs."
There was a wordy duel between Paresh Pal, Trinamool Congress MLA and his counterpart in GJM. Three of its MLAs Amar Singh Rai, Sarita Rai and Rohit Sharma were standing in the queue waiting for their turn to cast their votes in the Presidential election, when Pal went to them and said they have no right to take part in the election as "they have created trouble in the Hills and are setting government properties on fire."
Pal was taken away by his party colleagues. Amar Singh Rai later said: "Such a behavior on the part of an MLA is uncalled for. We have come to cast of our votes as MLAs and did not say anything against him or the party which he belongsto." It was learnt that they have lodged a
complaint with the Election Commission of India in connection with the tiff.
