Rly Board Rolling Stock member visits Metro Rail Bhavan

Ravindra Gupta, Member, Rolling Stock, Railway Board visited Metro Rail Bhavan on Saturday. He held a meeting with MC Chauhan, General Manager and other senior officers of Metro, Eastern and South Eastern Railway at the Metro Rail Bhavan and inspected the newly rehabilitated rake and maintenance work of other rakes at Noapara Car shed. Gupta praised the modification by Metro Railway in the rakes.

He advised that the core activity of periodical overhauling should be done in house and equipment for periodical overhauling may be outsourced as per requirement. In his address to the Metro officers, Kumar stressed upon the proper maintenance of rakes so that smooth services can be provided to the commuters. He has also informed that two new rakes with energy saving technology will arrive from integral coach factory, Perambur this year followed by more rakes from China.MPOST
