Bitasta's parents lodge complaint against her boyfriend

Family members of Bitasta Saha, a small time actress of Bengali entertainment industry whose decomposed body was recovered from her flat in Kasba lodged a complaint in the police station against her boyfriend.

Bitasta's semi-decomposed body was found hanging from the ceiling of her flat on Tuesday. The victim's mother visited the flat after the mobile phone of the victim went unanswered for almost two days. Bitasta's mother and neighbours informed the police after she did not open the door despite of repeated knocks. Police broke the door and found the actress's body hanging from the ceiling.

According to the police, Bitasta's wrist was slit and there were several injury marks on her body. As per the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the victim might have committed suicide. Investigation suggests that the victim committed suicide around two days ago.

In the complaint, the victim's family members mentioned the name of one Saikat Mitra who was held responsible by victim's mother Gita Saha. She complained that Saikat had instigated the actress to commit suicide. She also demanded stern action against the accused. Saikat became friend with the victim a couple of months ago after he introduced himself as an Income Tax officer.

A day after her body was recovered her family members lodged a complaint with the police. According to the preliminary investigation, the police said that the actress was under severe stress for quite some time which might have led to the incident. On going through her Facebook profile and posts, the Police found quite depressing posts on her wall.
