TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee to address two rallies in April

Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee will address two political rallies in early April, said party sources. The rallies will be held on April 2 and 6.

"On April 2, Abhishek will address a meeting in his own constituency, Diamond Harbour. The second meeting will be held at Kachari Maidan in Barasat", added sources.

On October 18, while returning to Kolkata from Murshidabad after attending a meeting, his vehicle met with an accident on the Durgapur Expressway. The SUV after hitting a trailer had overturned and injured all the occupants. Abhishek had to undergo a three-hour surgery to repair a fracture on his left eye orbital floor. Following the accident, Abhishek was unable to join the party's events.

Abhishek was sorely missed during the party's events held against the money-ban movement in Delhi and Kolkata. "His role will be crucial in view of the upcoming Panchayat election in 2019, which will be followed by the Lok Sabha polls in 2019. He is better now and will soon address the meetings," said party members.
