New CESC power station in Behala generates good response
Kolkata: CESC announced on Monday that its new Command Station located at Behala Chowrasta has already generated good response and has reduced the movement time of company's engineers to the affected site and restore power supply.
CESC till recently was serving its nearly 3.3 million customers through three Command Stations, located at BBD Bag, BT Road and Jadavpur, from where a day-and-night watch is kept on power supply and in case of any disruption, the restoration engineers rush to the affected site.
The recent Majerhat Bridge incident was a cause for concern and it was decided to open the 4th Command Station somewhere in Barisha to quicken mobility of CESC restoration teams. It was decided to divide the Jadavpur Command Station and locate a new unit at Behala to ensure quicker response and minimum movement time to the affected site in case of a disruption.
