Mouth-watering Hilsa dishes to be served at Festival in Bally

Kolkata: The Automobile Association of Eastern India (AAEI Club), along with Bhajahari Manna and 6 Ballygunge Place will be hosting a grand Hilsa Festival on July 29 at Bally in Howrah, where some of best preparations of Hilsa will be served accompanied by other palatable menus.

"There will be welcome drinks served by the famous Paramount, including Sherbats and Syrups followed by various delicious items prepared with Hilsa, such as Kochu Saag Hilsa, Hilsa Biryani, Ilish Bhapa and Rice,

Aampora Ilish to name a few. The event will be graced by dignitaries of Bangladesh," said Madan Mitra, TMC

member.

It's said that Bengal has more fresh water fish than weeks in a year and many customs and rituals revolve around these fish. The Padma Ilish is the only variety available in the fish markets.
