Miscreants attempt to break open ATM at Patuli

Police said the miscreants had, however, failed to break the main vault in the ATM machine.

After preliminary investigation, police Police suspect that the miscreants was not well trained in breaking ATM machines. They were not carrying anything with them to break the ATM machine.

So, they took sharp knives from a chicken shop situated opposite to the ATM in the wee hours. They tried to break the vault using the sharp knife. At first, they broke the CCTV so there was no video using which they can be identified. Finally failing to break it open, the miscreants looted the chicken shop and decamped with some goods in the shop. Police are trying to identify the miscreants using footages of other CCTVs installed in the area. They also spoke to locals, who told the investigating officers that they found the ATM machine in a damaged condition when they went out.
