Minor IPS rejig in Kolkata Police

In a minor IPS reshuffle, Deputy Commissioners (DC) of two divisions of the Kolkata Police have been changed on Thursday.
Gaurav Sharma, DC of South East Division (SED), has been made the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Howrah (rural) replacing Sumit Kumar.
Kumar has been made the DC (Headquarters) of the newly-formed Chandannagar Police Commissionerate.
The new DC of South East Division is Kalyan Mukhopadhyay, who was DC Traffic (South) of the Kolkata Traffic Police.
Badana Varun Chandra Sekhar, who was the DC of South Suburban Division (SSD), has been made the Special DC of the city police's Detective Department (DD).
Rupesh Kumar, who was in the post of DC DD (Special), has become the new DC of South Suburban Division.
Surya Pratap Yadav has beome the new DC Traffic (South) replacing Kalyan Mukhopadhyay.
Yadav was the DC of the Kolkata Armed Police's Fourth Battalion.
