Meet to chalk out anti-dengue plan
Kolkata: A meeting was conducted between the state Health Department and Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday at the Poura Bhavan in Salt Lake to chalk out a plan to prevent vector-borne diseases.
On Tuesday Ajay Chakraborty, Director of Health Services (DHS) along with other senior officials of state Health department met with Mayor Krishna Chakraborty and other officials of BMC.
During the meeting BMC officials handed over a map to health officials where details of previous year's dengue history were mentioned.
The areas which were affected most have been marked. Also BMC authority placed their plans to prevent dengue and other vector-bourne diseases during the meeting.
According to Krishna, there were two things which
have been discussed in the meeting.
Those are prevention and precaution. Few areas were marked which were the
most affected with dengue last year.
"We have placed our plan before the state Health department officials which are praised by them. We are taking precautionary steps to stop spreading of vector-borne diseases.
Also our team will aware people not to store water in an open area and also not to
throw garbage which can hold rain water," said Krishna.
