Maitri Aradhana Samity's blood donation camp held

The 20th voluntary blood donation and awareness camp of Matri Aradhana Samity (established in 1927) was held on Sunday at their club premises in Central Howrah.

As part of the awareness campaign, a huge rally with colourful festoons, banners and slogans was organised where people from all walks of life, including school children participated.

The rally included live models of popular children's comics and stilt walkers with slogans highlighting the necessity and social benefits of non-remunerative voluntary Blood Donation.

Many dignitaries from the area visited the camp to encourage the blood donors.

A total of 45 persons donated blood which was collected by Howrah General Hospital Blood Bank.
