Kulgam terror attack victim returns home from SSKM

Kolkata: Zahiruddin Sheikh, a resident of Murshidabad and a victim of the Kashmir terror incident who was brought back to the city on the night of November 13 and admitted to SSKM Hospital, has been released on Saturday after he showed a significant improvement.

Sheikh had sustained multiple bullet injuries in his body during a terror attack in Kashmir's Kulgam late last month and had been kept at the recently built Trauma Care Centre of the hospital for the past couple of days.

Since his admission at the hospital, the doctors conducted counselling of Sheikh, who had been under trauma. The patient had gone into shock after witnessing the indiscriminate firing of terrorists killing five of his colleagues on the day of the incident.

Sheikh had been under treatment at a Srinagar Hospital for more than two weeks after four bullets pierced his body.

He had been kept under close observation in the Intensive Care Unit.
