Saugata Roy summoned by CBI today

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday summoned MP Saugata Roy in connection with the Narada sting operation.
CBI officers went to the residence of Roy to give the letter issued to summon him to the office of the investigating agency at Nizam Palace. He has been requested to turn up at the CBI office on Wednesday.
Sources said that he has been requested to bring some documents along with him. It is learnt that the central investigating agency has also directed CEO of Narada News Mathew Samuel to turn up at the CBI's office on Wednesday. It is learnt that the CBI would take the statement of Roy to verify the claims of Samuel in connection with the sting operation.
It may be mentioned that the CBI had earlier questioned MP Sultan Ahmed, deputy mayor of the KMC Iqbal Ahmed and IPS officer SMH Mirza in this connection. Meanwhile, the investigating agency will collect voice samples of Sultan Ahmed and Iqbal Ahmed. It is learnt that both of them are yet to give their nod in this connection. They are also looking into the legal aspects on the collection of voice samples.
