CID arrests two from Delhi for TMC leader's murder

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested Saddam Seikh and Farooq Seikh from Delhi for their alleged involvement in the murder of Trinamool Congress leader Dalim Seikh that took place at Burdwan's Mongolkot in June this year.
Acting on specific information, a team of the CID visited Delhi and arrested both the accused. They would be produced before Ghaziabad court on Monday with the CID officers appealing for their transit remand.
The CID has so far arrested 13 persons in connection with the murder of Seikh Sanaullah, alias Dalim Seikh, an influential Trinamool Congress leader from Mongolkot who was shot dead by some miscreants. The case was handed over to the CID. The investigating officers came to know about the whereabouts of the two accused after interrogating the other accused who were earlier arrested by the police.
The family members of the victim lodged a complaint in the local police station mentioning the name of the persons whom the victim's family had suspected to be involved in the crime. Name of 15 persons were mentioned in the FIR. After the CID had taken over the case from the district police, they interrogated many persons in this connection.
The senior officers of the investigating agency came to know in the course of the investigation that the blueprint of the murder had been prepared three months before the crime took place. Some contract killers were involved in the crime and around Rs 6 lakh was given to various people to carry out the crime.
