Narada case: CBI questions Sultan Ahmed

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday questioned MP Sultan Ahmed in connection with the Narada sting operation.
Ahmed was in the office of CBI for around four hours. He was asked to come again to the office the investigating agency with some documents.
Sources said that he has produced most of the documents.
The investigating officers on Monday once again asked several questions related to the documents that he had submitted to the CBI.
It may be mentioned that the investigating agency had come to know that the Narada News CEO Mathew Samuel had donated the money in the election fund.
Subsequently, Ahmed was asked to submit the relevant documents in this connection.
A CBI officer said that the investigating agency will be going through the documents.
On Monday, the investigating officers have also verified some parts of the statement given by Samuel in this connection.
Meanwhile, the CBI officers all of a sudden went to the residence of MP Satabdi Roy for questioning her in connection with the Sarada Group chit fund scam that came to light in 2013.
On Monday afternoon, a team comprising senior officials of the investigating agency went to her house on Prince Anwar Shah Road.
Sources said that the MP has been asked several questions related to it.
It may be mentioned that the CBI had questioned several people in this connection.
