Six held for threatening Sugata Bose remanded to judicial custody

Six persons, who were arrested on charges of threatening Trinamool Congress MP Sugata Bose and his mother Krishna Bose, were remanded to judicial custody till July 6. They were produced before the Alipore Court on Tuesday morning.
The accused had been booked on charges of trespassing after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint under Section 452 of the Indian Penal Code.
The police have booked them under a non-bailable section and the state's counsel had pleaded before the court to remand them in the custody of the police for interrogation. The police had sought their custody as the investigating officers wanted to question them to get hold of the other members along with the kingpin of their group.
After hearing both the counsels, the Court remanded them to judicial custody for three days.
Sugata Bose on Tuesday said: "It has to be ensured that common people can live in peace without facing such problems."
Krishna Bose said: "It is not important that with whom such an incident has happened. But it shouldn't happen to anyone. The police have taken necessary steps as soon as they came to known about it."
It may be mentioned that on Monday, a group of youth had forcefully entered Bose's house and threatened him and his mother former MP Krishna Bose.
They had asked Bose that who had given him permission to repair the damaged
portion of the house and wanted to know from whom they were purchasing building materials.
The police would arrest some more persons in this connection. Necessary steps have also been taken so that no one can again manage to enter their house forcefully. The police are also trying to find that from where they have gained courage to raid the house of an MP.
