6 arrested for threatening TMC MP Sugata Bose

The police arrested six persons for threatening Sugata Bose, Trinamool Congress MP on Monday. According to the police, six youth on motorcycles came to his residence off Sarat Bose Road this morning when some masons had been carrying out repair works on the second floor. The youth asked who had given them permission to repair the damaged portion of the house and wanted to know from which shop construction materials had been purchased. The youth again came back around 1 pm and started shouting. The maid went to them and told them that they should not make such noise as the house belonged to an MP. The youth pushed the maid aside and entered the house.
Former Trinamool Congress MP Krishna Bose, Sugata's mother was also present in the room and Sugata Bose was talking on the phone. The youth threatened Bose and told him that calling up police was useless as no police would do anything. They threatened Bose with dire consequences and repeatedly asked who had given them permission to carry out repair works and left the house after almost half an hour. After they left, Sugata Bose called up party's MP Subrata Bakshi and told him everything. Bakshi got in touch with police who conducted a raid in the area and arrested six youth.
