Sudip to attend Lok Sabha sessions

Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay will attend the Lok Sabha sessions soon.
Talking to newsmen, Bandyopadhyay said the party has instructed him to attend Lok Sabha sessions. "I have always stood beside people and will continue to do so in future," he said.
Bandyopadhyay was arrested in connection with the Rose valley scam in January by the CBI and was put in their custody in Odisha. His health broke down and was admitted to the hospital. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee went to see him in the hospital and later said he had lost nearly 20 kg weight. Odisha high court granted him conditional bail on May 18 and he was flown back to Kolkata where he has been undergoing treatment.
Banerjee had been kept in the custody for five months. On his arrest, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee had said that he had been arrested as he had raised his voice against demonetisation in the Lok Sabha.
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress had severed all connections with five Congress MLAs who had recently joined the party. The MLAs refused to follow party lines in the Presidential election.
Partha Chatterjee, secretary general of Trinamool Congress said the party had severed all connections with the five MLAs and Sabyasachi Dutta has been assigned to looked after the party in Tripura. It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had visited Tripura and addressed a public meeting a few months ago.
