67-year-old woman's murder: 2 arrested

The police arrested two youth on Sunday in connection with the murder of an elderly woman at Netaji Nagar in South Kolkata.
A 67-year-old woman, identified as Gauri Sen, was murdered in her house on June 17. Police said the accused Md Azad is one of the members of the gang who killed the woman and fled with valuables including jewellery from her house.
Azad, who was originally a resident of Bihar, was arrested from Chanditala in Hooghly.
Another youth Vicky was arrested on charges of buying the stolen jewellery.
Some of the jewellery was recovered from his shop.
The accused were remanded to police custody till July 5 after being produced before Alipore Court.
