CID busts sleaze racket

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have busted a sleaze racket from Baguiati and arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in the incident. Police had specific information that a sleaze racket has been operating from a residential apartment situated in Kestopur under Baguiati police station.

A team of CID officers raided a flat in the building and found two youth and two girls in compromising position. The CID has sealed the flat. The accused were remanded to police custody after being produced before Bidhannagar court on Tuesday. Police are probing the accused to know the names of the other persons involved in the racket. According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that some other persons have been involved in the racket. The police are trying to know the names of the other persons.

The two accused youth have been identified as Sudipto Chowdhury and Mrinmoy Saha. The CID also came to know in the course of investigation that such rackets have been operating from various places of Baguiati, New Town and Salt Lake areas.
