Little Thespian, a well-known theatre group, in collaboration with Bhartiya Bhasa Parishad on Thursday inaugurated classes for the dramatic recitation of poetry and stories in Hindi for the first time in the city.
The classes will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm in the auditorium of Bhartiya Bhasa Parishad every Saturday.
The class will help children to develop proper pronunciation and to understand the subject of the story in better ways.
It has often been found that as many children do not know the proper technique of reading a story or a poem, they fail to understand the meaning and do not enjoy studying the subject.
The classes will help students to become elocutionists or to join theatre groups later in life.
The classes will help to build mutual respect between the teachers and the students. The learners will be given problems and be asked to provide solutions working as a team.
This will help to build confidence in the learners.
Also, it will help the students to understand poems and stories in other languages.
Little Thespian organises an Urdu drama festival every year in the city.
The festival is the only one of its kind in eastern India and receives the cooperation of the state government.
