TET candidates block rail

Train services on Sealdah-Bongaon and Sealdah-Hasnabad sections on Wednesday afternoon were affected after hundreds of candidates who cleared the TET examination in 2009 but are yet to get their appointment letters put up blocks at Barasat railway station on Wednesday. Candidates who cleared the TET in 2009 joined the movement demanding appointments. The train services in the two sections remained suspended for nearly two hours causing serious inconvenience to commuters. GRP personnel rushed to the spot and urged them to withdraw the block as it was affecting the railway services. The block was later lifted after the intervention of the senior cops.
