The Common Entrance Examination conducted by Association of Minority Professional Academics Institutes this year will be held on May 14.
The successful candidates of the Common Entrance Examination will get the opportunity to get admitted to the first five best engineering institutes across the state UNDER BTech and BPharm courses.
The minority students will get priority in the admission among the total seats of 1,260.
"The minority students will be given preference during the process of admission. The others will only get admission if some seats are left after fulfilling the vacancies for minority students," said a source in the institute.
"Association of Minority Professional Academics Institutes aims to create a transparent and competitive examination through an evaluation process for the selection of proficient candidates for the respective courses. The rules and regulations of the common entrance examination are similar to that of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. This is the fourth year of the common entrance examination and appearing candidates have to pay Rs 200 as an examination fee," said the source.
"A candidate can fill up the form online or offline by May 6. It is really a great opportunity for the students," the source added.
Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes (AMPAI) is a registered body under the West Bengal Society Registration Act, 1961. The association was established in the year 2010 and now some colleges accept the admission of students through the Common Entrance Examination.
