Kol Airport ranks world number 3 in ASQ Awards

Kolkata: Kolkata Airport has ranked world number 3 in the ASQ Awards 2017 by ACI in the 5-15 Million category.

Atul Dikshit, Airport Director, Kolkata received the ASQ Award at Halifax, Canada as Kolkata Airport was adjudged World Number 3 Airport in the 5-15 million category by Airports Council International. The airport director thanked and dedicated the award to the employees, stakeholders & passengers who have motivated the authorities to get counted amongst the Best Airports in the World. It may be mentioned that according to sources, Kolkata Airport handled 19.89 million passengers during the financial year 2017-18, making it the fifth busiest airport in India. International traffic has also increased from 1 million passengers in fiscal 2008-09 to 2.59 million in fiscal 2017-18.
