Kin arrested from city for killing girl

Kolkata: Two persons were arrested from Kolkata by Jamalpur police station under Purba Bardhaman District Police on Tuesday for allegedly killing a girl. According to the police, the girl, a resident of Muzaffarabad, was murdered by her father and brother as she was in a relationship with a local boy.

On August 31, a girl's body was found beside National Highway 2 near Nabagram in Burdwan. During the autopsy procedure, a few mobile numbers were found written on the legs of the deceased. Among them, police have identified a number which belongs to the boy with whom the girl had a relation. As the girl's family was against this relationship, her father tried to prevent her from meeting the boy. Failing to that, both her father and brother murdered the girl.
