IAS reshuffle in state

Kolkata: In a reshuffle in the IAS cadre in Bengal, the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Environment department, Indevar Pandey, has been given the additional charge of Forest department.

Pandey, an IAS of the 1988 batch, was recently transferred to the Environment department as its additional chief secretary, from Public Works department. He will also continue as the advisor, RC Office, New

Delhi.

Chandan Sinha, who was the Principal Secretary of the state Forest department, has been made the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and Ex-officio Principal Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat in new Delhi, with additional charge of Additional Director General of the Administrative Training Institute (ATI).

Tallen Kumar has become the new ACS of the Planning, Statistics and Programme Monitoring department. He was the ACS of Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs department.

A Subbiah has become the new Principal Secretary of Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs department, with additional charge of Managing Director and Vice-Chairman of West Bengal Essential Commodities Supply Corporation Limited. Dushyant Nariala, who was Principal Secretary of School Education department, has become the Principal Secretary of Disaster Management and Civil Defence department. Manish Jain has become the secretary of the School Education department and Puneet Yadav has been made the Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Enterprises department.
