Human skeleton recovered from Bahadurpur forest

The police found a human skull along with some skeletal remains in Bahadurpur forest at Asansol's Kenda on Friday.

A money-bag and a mobile phone were also recovered from the spot.

Police personnel from the Kenda outpost were informed by some of the local villagers about the skeletal remains, after which the cops immediately reached the spot.
They found that the skull was lying in a vacant area in the forest.

Some broken pieces of human bones were also recovered from there.

Based on preliminary investigation, the investigators suspect that a man was killed and his corpse was buried in the forest

The victim, they believe, might have been a member of any criminal gang.

The police may send those skeletal remains and skulls to the State Forensic Science Laboratory experts to test.

It should be recalled that the residents of Behala's Biren Roy Road spotted a human skull and bones in a waste bin two months ago.

Some women saw a plastic packet in which the bones and a skull were kept.

They called up the police who reached the spot to collect the bones and sent them for testing.

Earlier too, some incidents of human skull recoveries took place in the state.

A skull was recovered from the roadside at Salt Lake's Nayapatti area last year. Some children, who were playing there, spotted the skull.

Seeing the skull, the children informed their parents. Local people then called up at Electronic Complex Police Station.

It should also be recalled that human skeleton was recovered from inside a water tank at the roof of an under-construction multi-storied building in DD Block just a year back.

The construction work of the building at DD-7, close to City Centre shopping mall was stopped for some time after setting up ten storeys.

A water tank was also set up on top of the building. Police believed it was a skeleton of a woman.
