Howrah-Delhi Radhani Spl train services to resume from Dec 20

Kolkata: The Eastern Railway (ER) has decided to run 02305/02306 Howrah-New Delhi-Howrah Weekly Rajdhani Special (via Patna) on its nominated days of run from Howrah from December 20, 2020 and from New Delhi from December 25, 2020 till further advice.

"The 02305 Howrah – New Delhi Rajdhani Weekly Special (via Patna) will leave Howrah at 2.05 pm on every Sunday from December 20, 2020 to reach New Delhi at 10.00 am on the next day," said an official.

He reiterated that the 02306 New Delhi – Howrah Rajdhani Weekly special (via Patna) will leave New Delhi at 4.55 pm on every Friday from December 25, 2020 to reach Howrah at 12.15 pm on the next day.

Due to the introduction of the 02305/02306 Howrah – New Delhi – Howrah Rajdhani Special (via Patna), 02301 Howrah – New Delhi Superfast AC Special (via Dhanbad) originating from Howrah on every Sunday between December 20, 2020 and February 7, 2021 and the 02302 New Delhi – Howrah Superfast AC Special (via Dhanbad) originating from New Delhi on every Friday between December 25, 2020 and February 12, 2021 will remain cancelled.

Due to the farmer agitation in Punjab, 02331 Howrah -Jammu Tawi Festival Special Train will short-terminate at Lucknow on October 20. 02332 Jammu Tawi -Howrah Festival Special journey commencing on October 22 will short-originate at Lucknow.

Meanwhile, Eastern Railway has opened a 'Station Centre' at Asansol, which is conceptualized from the 'City Centre' in big cities. Likewise, the City Centre in Metro Cities, the 'Station Centre' at Asansol station concourse will act as a hub for getting access to food and entertainment. "Inside the 'Station Centre', there is a provision of two Restaurant on Wheels, Juice Parlour, Ice Cream Parlours and two other stalls for a variety of local and exciting cuisines," pointed out the official.

An open air stage has also been created for live performances towards entertainment of the audience. The open air stage has been constructed using scrap OHE (Overhead equipment) mast, second hand bricks, debris from different sites towards recycling of waste materials and conservation of environment.
