Govt set to hold business meet at Digha on Dec 11, 12
Kolkata: The Mamata Banerjee government is set to hold a two-day business meet at the Convention Centre in Digha on December 11 and 12. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate the conference, which is being organised by West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC).
The convention seeks to focus on regional cooperation and strengthening ties with partner countries, states and cities of Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS). It will bring together distinguished dignitaries, top corporates, thought leaders and senior diplomats.
International participants from neighbouring countries, partner countries/states/cities of BGBS, international chambers, large industries, MSMEs, chambers and associations will be at a single venue.
Major sectors for cooperation include Manufacturing, Industry, Trade & Services, Infrastructure, Energy, Transport & Logistics, Tourism, Agriculture & Allied Services and MSME. Sources in WBIDC said that there may be partnership with Poland for technical expertise in the Power sector and with France for small and cottage industry.
