Governor set to inaugurate 33 Pujas in city from today
Kolkata: Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi will be inaugurating a number of Durga Pujas in the city as well as Hooghly district, starting from October 11.
He is also scheduled to visit the Puja of Chetla Agrani in South Kolkata and Sobhabazar Rajbari in North Kolkata, as well as a Puja at Jangipara in Hooghly.
"The Governor will inaugurate as many as 33 Puja pandals that include Nimtala Sarbojonin, Santosh Mitra Square, Wellington Nagarik Kalyan Samiti and College Square to name a few," a source in the Governor House said.
The Garia Mitali Sangha is the first in the itinerary of the Governor, which will be inaugurated on October 11. The rest of the inaugurations are scheduled between October 12 to 14.
The Governor's visit to Jangipara in Hooghly is scheduled on October 15, Chetla Agrani on October 16 and Sobhabazar Rajbari on October 17.
