Governor greets people on eve of Republic Day

Kolkata: Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi Friday greeted the people on the eve of the country's 70th Republic Day and said that it is the citizens' responsibility to see that democracy functions in a truly constitutional, legal and dignified manner. "This is the day when we should resolve to make every effort needed to secure the dreams of our founding fathers," he said in a statement released by the Raj Bhavan. Tripathi stressed that the citizens protect the integrity of the country and ensure that the country's sovereignty was not encroached upon.
