Gang member beaten to death

A youth was beaten to death by local residents at Nadia's Chakdaha on Thursday night. Police learnt that the man, identified as Rahul Siyali, was a member of an anti-social gang in the area. He allegedly, along with some other gang members, hurled bombs at a local real estate developer, Ashit Biswas' office. Police were looking for the criminals after the incident. But the local residents spotted one of the gang members on Thursday night. They soon overpowered Rahul there. "Rahul was beaten to death. Local residents used wooden rods, bricks to smash his head," said a local resident. The victim was taken to Nadia's College of Medicine & JNM Hospital. But the doctors declared him brought dead.
