Four injured in separate accidents in Salt Lake

Four persons, including two civic volunteers were injured in separate road accidents in Salt Lake on Saturday.
One incident occurred near CA Island on Saturday morning when a car flouted a signal and turned to its left. A couple who was riding on a scooty lost control and rammed into the car from behind when it suddenly took to its left. The young couple fell on the road and received injuries. But they were saved as the speed of the scooty was relatively low.
The local residents heard a thud and rushed to the spot. They took the victims to the Bidhannagar sub-division hospital for treatment. It was learnt from the police that the injured youth were later released from the hospital after preliminary treatment.
In another incident, a civic volunteer, Aurobinda Mistri was injured when a car hit him near Tank number 8 in Salt Lake. The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident. The local people rushed the victim to a private hospital in Salt Lake where he was released later after primary treatment.
In the third incident, another civic volunteer was injured when a bike he was riding on was hit by a car near Baisakhi. Manish Jha, the injured civic volunteer was taken to Bidhannagar sub-divisional hospital for treatment.
