Fire breaks out at Park Street building, no injuries reported

Kolkata: A fire broke out in a multi-storeyed building at Park Street on Thursday night. The fire broke out in the office of a private company housed in the fourth floor of the building.
Five fire tenders were pressed into service and firefighters took around an hour to douse the flames.
Though the firefighters are yet to ascertain the exact reason behind the fire, they suspect that an electric short-circuit might have led to the incident.

They rushed to the spot and initiated the work to douse the fire. The firefighters found the office locked from outside. They broke open the door and carried out the work to extinguish the flames.
There was no report of anyone getting injured in the fire and there was no scope of anyone remaining inside the office as it was locked from outside. The total extent of damage due to the fire is yet to be ascertained.
