Fake doctor arrested from East Burdwan

Kolkata: A fake doctor was arrested from Kalna in East Burdwan. The accused has been identified as Subhojit Roy, who had been attached to a private nursing home in the area.

On the basis of a specific complaint, police said a probe has been initiated a few

days ago. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody after being produced before a court in the district. They have started collecting information about him.

As soon as police came to know about the incident they conducted a raid and arrested Roy. According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect the accused might have been impersonating to attend the patients.

Investigation has revealed that he had been practising in the area for quite sometime. But recently, his behaviour led to the suspicion following which a complaint was lodged at a police station. Cops are now trying to find out whether he was involved with any healthcare centres.

Police also came to know that several people used to visit his chamber every day. But he had never let anyone understand that he didn't possess a degree to practice medicine. Police have started a detailed probe into the incident.
