Eastern Railway introduces special train to tackle Eid rush

Kolkata: To clear the rush of passengers during Eid-ul-Zuha, Eastern Railway will run one pair of special train between Kolkata & Gorakhpur (via Dankuni), leaving Kolkata on August 19 and Gorakhpur on August 20.

03131 Up —Kolkata-Gorakhpur Special will start from Kolkata station at 11.55 pm on August 19 and will reach Gorakhpur at 5.30 pm on the next day.

In the return journey, 03132 Dn — Gorakhpur-Kolkata Special leaving Gorakhpur at 9.05 pm on August 20 will arrive Kolkata station at 1.15pm on the next day.

This train will have General Second Class, Sleeper Class, AC 3-Tier & AC 2-Tier accommodations and will stop at Burdwan, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Barauni, Sahapur Patori, Hazipur, Sonpur, Chapra, Siwan and Bhatni Jn while enroute in both the directions.

Booking for Up direction journey opens on August 18. In connection with the Eid al-Adha celebration in Bangladesh,13129 Up/13130 Dn Kolkata-Khulna-Kolkata Bandhan Express will remain cancelled from Kolkata and Khulna (Bangladesh) on August 23.
