Dilip Ghosh restrained again from linking Abhishek to KD Singh

Justice Soumen Sen has instructed Dilip Ghosh, state BJP president, not to make any comment against Abhishek Banerjee, Trinamool Congress MP or his family members.
Earlier, the High Court had issued an order on June 19 instructing Ghosh to refrain from passing any comment against Banerjee. Ghosh had said on January 27 that Banerjee had a relationship with K D Singh through marriage. A defamation suit was filed against Ghosh in the High Court and Justice Sen had passed an order restraining Ghosh from making any comments against Abhishek Banerjee or his family members. On Monday, Ghosh again moved a petition requesting the Court to withdraw the order. Justice Sen rejected the petition and ordered that without any proof, Ghosh cannot not make any comment on Banerjee or his family members. Filing the petition, Ajay Choubey, Ghosh's counsel, said that Ghosh had made the comment based on a newspaper report. He did not know and did not have any wrong intention. Justice Sen wondered how could a leader like Ghosh make a comment based on hearsay and rejected the petition.
