Delhi govt issues 30K e-passes to essential service providers

Gurugram: No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Gurugram and two more patients recovered from the disease.

"Two more patients have recovered from COVID-19. We hope to get more positive news in the comings days," said a senior official from Gurugram health department.

The total number patients who have been cured of COVID-19 in Gurugram have increased up to 14. In effect, Gurugram has contributed over 54 per cent of recoveries in Haryana. However, Nuh reported six cases. With 44 cases of COVID-19, Nuh has the highest number of cases in Haryana. One case each was reported from Palwal and Faridabad.

An FIR was registered against the Palwal resident who was tested positive with COVID-19 on Saturday under Section 370-C (attempt to murder) after it was found that he along with 11 Tablighi Jamaat attendees had travelled hiding in a truck to Palwal on April 7.

On Saturday, 102 samples were collected, out of which 44 samples were collected in government laboratories and 58 in private facilities. The results of 44 samples are awaited.

Till date, there have been 11,498 samples that have been sent for testing, in which 1,422 have tested negative and 32 have been found positive. With 14 patients being discharged, the active cases in Gurugram are stand at 18.

Gurugram along with Nuh, Palwal and Faridabad have been declared as hotspots in Haryana.

The total number of samples that have been sent for testing in Haryana is 3,663, in which 2,472 have been found negative and 173 cases are positive and 147 are active cases. There have been 24 patients that have been discharged till date. Results of 502 samples are being awaited.

There are over 829 patients who have been admitted to the hospitals or in the isolation centres. There are 25,337 persons are under surveillance.
