Death due to medical negligence: 2 dead
Kolkata: Two incidents of medical negligence occurred in two South Bengal districts respectively on Friday.
The first incident was reported in Howrah's Uluberia where a 48-year-old woman had fallen victim of alleged medical negligence. The victim, Dulali Kar, was brought to Uluberia Sub-divisional Hospital on Friday night after she fell ill.

The demonstration was lifted following the intervention of the local Councillor.
It was alleged that the doctor who was staying at his residence refused to visit the patient after her condition deteriorated. Instead of visiting her, he asked the attending nurse to give some medicines to the patient.
The other incident took place at Gaighata in North 24-Parganas on Saturday morning.
One Rani Pramanik, a resident of Ramchandrapur in Gaighata, was admitted to Chandpara village hospital on Saturday morning.
