Corona cases down in China: Consul General
Kolkata: Consul General of China in Kolkata Zha Liyou claimed on Thursday that the number of fresh cases in his country has gone down a lot due to proactive moves by the Chinese government.
According to Liyou, though the world is blaming bats and pangolins as carriers of coronavirus, it has not been confirmed yet. The Consul General informed that till Wednesday, 80,793 people have been affected by the virus. Out of them 62,793 persons have been cured and 14,831 are still being treated. Liyou claimed that only 3,169 persons have died and 253 people are under scanner.
On Wednesday, Liyou stated that the doctors in China have been using traditional medicines mixed with modern forms of treatment and they keep upgrading it. "No one knows about any specific medicine to treat coronavirus. Our doctors are working on it and applying existing medicines," said Liyou.
The Consul General thanked India for standing beside China and sending medical supplies to Wuhan last month.
