The Bidhannagar City Police traced a girl on Saturday afternoon who was missing since Friday night. The investigators tracked the location of the cell phone tower of the girl which showed her location at City Centre 2, the shopping mall at New Town. The policemen found her from there along with a youth. Both of them were taken to the police station for interrogation.

Police started an investigation on Friday night on the basis of the complaint lodged by the family members of the girl. The girl called up her
home on Friday night at around 10 pm just after two hours of her disappearance.

"The girl told that she was going to a shop to buying something. She did not return home after that," said an investigating officer.

A resident of Salt Lake's FC Block, the girl also told her guardians that she was abducted by some miscreants. Those men put a piece of cloth on her face and forced her to enter a car.

The investigators got the phone number from where the girl had called up. They tracked the tower location at Shyambazar. It was at around 11.15 pm when the girl switched off the phone and the investigators lost tower tracking.

On Saturday, at around 12 pm, the girl switched on the phone again. The investigators tracked the mobile at City Centre 2, New Town. The
officers of the detective department reached there at the mall and caught the girl along with her friend.

They were trying to get into the movie hall and had bought movie tickets for the same. But the police officers took them to the police station from there.

They revealed that they travelled the city by booking two Ola cabs. They took one Ola for North Kolkata and another such car for rest of places in the city.

Investigators suspected that the girl and her friend made up the whole story of abduction in apprehension that the girl's results would not be satisfactory. Meanwhile, the cab drivers were also interrogated at the police station.
