CM visit to Darjeeling district on cards

Darjeeling: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is slated to visit the Darjeeling district on October 21. Though the district administration and police have claimed that there is no official communication regarding the Chief Minister's visit, Trinamool Congress sources said that the Chief Minister will arrive on October 21.

She will then chair an administrative meeting with administrative and police officials at Uttarkanya in Siliguri on October 22.

Sources further stated that after the meeting she could visit Kurseong where she could halt for the night. If she halts for the night in Kurseong she could be putting up at the Kurseong Circuit House. "We have not received any official communication regarding the CM's visit," stated Deepap Priya P, District Magistrate, Darjeeling.
