CM inaugurates 2 new police stations
Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday inaugurated two new police stations.
She also inaugurated new buildings of six police stations as well. Banerjee inaugurated the same from a programme at Nabanna Sabhaghar.
Rajarpur and Narayanpur are the two police stations that the Chief Minister inaugurated on Friday.
The new buildings of the police stations including that of Bidhannagar East, Jagatballavpur, Amta, Women Police Station Purulia, Bhutni Police Station and Kashipur were inaugurated. She also inaugurated Salua Police
Quarters.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister has taken up several projects for policemen and it includes development of infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Police have taken step to update its database to ensure better online facility for the payment regarding traffic related cases.
It has been stated that while making online payment for traffic cases through the website of Kolkata Traffic Police, a few may get an error message – "Invalid Vehicle Number".
It happens because details of the vehicles are not present in the database of Kolkata Traffic Police. Hence, the police urge to mail a scanned copy of the smart card or registration certificate along with one's mobile number to [email protected] to update the records.
